Sponsor a Birth Mother with a HUG
http://choosingdestiny.weebly.com/1/post/2012/09/once-upon-a-baby.htmlAs a Birth Mother we often feel like after the baby is born everyone forgets about us. I don't want this to happen!! If you are looking for an easy way to help out then this is it. I want to make sure that EVERY Birth Mother I hear of doesn't leave the hospital empty handed! I will be putting together baskets to remind Birth Mothers how much they really are loved, filled with things to use at the hospital and when they get home. Items that I was happy to have, and somethings that I wish I had. Somethings, like breast pads - I needed after I got home from the hospital, but it broke my heart having to walk down the baby isle and buy them after being discharged from the hospital. Please help lower my costs by donating any of the items listed below. We are always in need for everything listed below.

Blankets For Birth Mothers
When we hear that someone is adopting we are really excited for them, but we often overlook what a sacrifice it is for the birth parents. I think one of the worst feelings is walking out of the hospital with no baby. There is an organization collecting blankets for Birth Mothers. It is something that they can wrap their baby in while they are in the hospital if they wish, something to bring home so they don't leave empty-handed, and something to cuddle up and wipe away their tears - there will be a lot of those. It would also be a nice gesture for the adoptive family to bring home a baby blanket that matches the birth mother's. As many blankets that we can collect the better!
